Mother’s Day present. Got a blister painting this, my own fault for picking something with intricate-ish lettering.
Stab wounds on Saturday, churning out the prints on Sunday.
It’s been years since I did lino. Twas nice.

My work in the WSA Degree Show (left) and in For The Time Being (right).
It was great having 2 such different spaces to exhibit in. At WSA, the piece was in a huge, open, light space, in a fairly silent room. In London the room was tiny and dark, and my work was alongside a couple of pretty loud pieces. I made the decision not to take the plinth to London with me, and I’m glad I did - it would have looked huge and incongruously white in that little black room. Instead, the tvs were on the floor. I’d never pictured it like that at all, but I think I might have actually preferred it.
Forged telegram, newspaper clipping, movie frame print, book excerpt.
Trying to work out degree show stuff. Blah.
Spent ages on the first version of this then realised I’d used the same bit of film twice. Then After Effects went all weird and yeah. Relatively productive day though.
Book’s printed.
